Compression

Part of 1978 R100/7 Side Car

When I first got to investigating, the bike would barely start only when cold. I checked out the compression and the Left was "uhhhhhh ok?" and the right raised my eyebrow. A valve adjustment was done and all was good! After doing some leanring about these old heads, the valve seats reseed because it was build in the era of leaded gasoline. This is why I sent the heads to the get new seats cut in. This wont ever be a problem again.

Right Side first test. 29 psi... Even my armature ass knew this was a problem. My heart sank a bit, my mind when wild... Is this a full rebuild? I can't fix this! Ok.. calm down.
