Part of Lemon Bomber
Compression is… less than ideal. Best reading so far is about 90 psi, and that’s with a bit of oil added to the cylinder. Without it, compression drops off quickly to around 50 psi. The bike will start and run briefly, but only while the added oil helps seal things—once it burns off, it struggles to stay alive. I ran a few heat cycles in hopes the rings might free up, but no improvement there. At this point, it’s pointing clearly toward worn rings and/or cylinder wear. Plan is to move forward with a top-end rebuild. The good news is that everything else is starting to come together, so with fresh compression this thing should run real strong.
